Shifting dullness - In medicine, shifting dullness refers to a sign, illicited on physical examination, for ascites. If, on percussion, the region of dullness shifts when the patient is turned, they likely have fluid in the abdomen.

Rebound tenderness - Rebound tenderness is a clinical sign resulting from physical examination of the abdomen. Abdominal pain is aggravated by stretching or moving of the parietal layer of the peritoneal membrane.

Redirect examination - Redirect examination is the trial process by which the party who offered the witness has a chance to explain or otherwise qualify damaging testimony brought out by the opponent during cross-examination. Redirect examination may question only those areas brought out on cross-examination and may not stray beyond that boundary.

Questioned document examination - Questioned document examination is known by many names including forensic document examination, document examination, diplomatics, handwriting examination, and sometime handwriting analysis, although that name is not considered appropriate since it might be confused with graphology. Likewise a document examiner is not to be confused with a graphologist, and vice versa.
